Maltese Plum

Semi-determinate. Our donor was given seeds of this variety by his friend, who had acquired them while on holiday in Malta. A late variety that performs best in a sunny spot outside. Trusses are borne on leaf spurs, so do not grow as a cordon or remove side shoots, and stake well to support the heavy crop produced. The firm, red, plum-type tomatoes are ideal for stuffing.
