Burpees Matchless

Determinate. Bush. Dating back to around 1889, this is another variety from American seed house W Atlee Burpee & Co. The seed company were so proud of this variety it celebrated its 25th anniversary by featuring the impressive fruit on the cover of its annual catalogue describing it as "the best maincrop tomato". The dwarf plants produce medium-sized, slightly flattened, round, ribbed fruits that are perfect for slicing and have excellent flavour.
