Chapman's Purple

Named after our donor who was given seeds of this variety by a friend in Dorset. She knows very little about the history of the beans; however, they produce purple pods, which darken the longer they are left on the plant. She describes the pods as having a meaty texture and a slightly different flavour to traditional green varieties. Let us know what you think of them. Black with violet mottles.
