Veitchs Perfection

Thought to have been developed by Veitchs Nurseries of Exeter and Chelsea, this variety is mentioned in Johnson's Gardeners' Dictionary (1842 edition). It is a late variety producing vigorous plants, >1.2m in height, with very large leaves and white flowers. The large pods contain 9-11 marrowfat-type peas with a strong but sweet flavour.
