Latvian Grey Pea

This variety originated in Latvia and has been grown there since around 1900. The term grey peas is given to older forms of pea, and refers to those that can be eaten fresh, without cooking. It produces lovely lilac and dark crimson flowers followed by short, stocky pods packed full of large, succulent peas.
