Cooper's Bean Pea

Our donor was given these peas by a visitor to her house during Open Gardens weekend and has grown them for many years. She says: “It looks like a pea, tastes like a bean.” This variety is very tall (around 1.75m) with productive, beautiful, bicoloured violet and deep reddish-purple flowers followed by fat, straight pods. The peas are perfect for drying and making mushy peas.
