Bijou

A French mangetout variety donated to HSL in the early 1980s, but grown by our donor for many years. It's a vigorous and productive variety, so will need strong supports. The gorgeous, bi-coloured purple flowers are followed by sweet, succulent and usually stringless pods. Seed Guardian Anne St John says it's a "really delicious, huge, succulent mangetout. Splendidly reliable and super flavour".
