Dwarf French Bean
Black Canterbury
A prolific and vigorous variety, producing bushy plants and pretty lilac flowers. These are followed by flat, slightly curved green pods, some of which develop pink patterning as they age. Eat the pods young to avoid stringiness. When used dried the beans have a nutty, but sweet flavour. Seed Guardian Mrs Edna Squires describes this as a “must-have” plant. Seed colour black.
