Bridgwater Bean

This variety was given to our donor by his cousin, who lives near Bridgwater, Somerset. The family have been growing this pretty bean since the late 1940s. A vigorous variety, producing tall (around 2m) plants, lilac flowers and attractive pods heavily mottled with purple. Can be used fresh or dried. Seed colour pale cream to buff with broad purple stripes.
