We were spoilt with a lovely couple of days last weekend, so we were busy out in the garden tidying up. I pulled the netting off the brassicas and was shocked to find an aphid and caterpillar invasion.
When nights get longer than days (after the autumn equinox) it’s time to prepare your growing area for winter. Grab those last few sunny days, embrace the chill and relish the chance to get outside.

With the late sun still shining last week my mind turned to what I can sow now for a winter or early spring crop.
