Firstly a number of people have asked for the Chocolate Courgette Brownie recipe and I think it's really good so do give it a go by clicking here.

This week has been a week of extremes – either pouring with rain or glorious sunshine! It has made it a bit difficult to have any extended trips to the allotment but I’m sure that the plants are enjoying it! The tomatoes are still doing brilliantly – we have so many Currant tomatoes that the children are even complaining about picking them! The cucumbers have also enjoyed the rain so salads are sorted in our house. The Sweetcorn is looking good with tiny little cobs forming. At this point, I can’t tell which is the regular and which is Inca Rainbow corn (once again I failed to label!) so I’m excitedly waiting and watching for any sign of colour. I’m guessing that the regular corn will be tastiest but I know that the children will love to see the unusual colours of the Inca Rainbow corn so hopefully both will succeed.

Finally, I had to include a photo of one of my sunflowers. These were given to me by a friend as they self-seeded all over her garden. I expected the normal 1 or 2 flowers but they have all produced multiple heads, this one has 13! I thought that it might be a world record until I looked it up and found an article about a man whose plant had 104 heads, so now mine doesn’t seem quite so impressive!!!
