We're thrilled to announce the launch of a new Master Gardener programme in mid Wales, our first volunteer mentor network project in Wales.
Master Gardeners community growing
We'll be sharing skills, knowledge and training around organic growing amongst residents and communities in the Dyfi valley

We will be working as part of a consortium of like-minded organisations led by local charity EcoDyfi and funded by the Welsh Government, to improve local food systems. Over the next two years, our role will include sharing skills, knowledge and training around organic growing amongst residents and communities in the Dyfi valley.

This project is about increasing the number of growing sites in the Dyfi Biosphere area for food, nature, and well-being. All activities relate to establishing growing sites, involving the local community, and supporting the development of short supply chains.

We aim to achieve:

  • a boost to the local food economy
  • increased involvement of local communities in growing - more people, wider demographic
  • contribution to the sustainability agenda
  • a foundation upon which activities started will continue post project
