Let’s get everyone composting for Compost Week!

Composting your kitchen scraps is an easy way to be green in your garden – helping nourish your crops, wildlife and improve your soil. It’s a fantastic sustainable solution to reducing the burden of household waste.
This year’s International Compost Awareness Week, from 4 May to 10 May, is focused on ‘Sustainable Communities Begin with Compost’ - and we couldn’t agree more!
At Garden Organic we love compost, and in our role as the UK's national charity for organic growing we share this message among communities around the UK at every opportunity!
To help you share and amplify this message we’ve created a set of ready-to-go social media posts, and a link to a dropbox of assets, that you can copy and paste into your feeds, share via email, or print and display at events or activities.
Plus, we’ll also be hosting two free webinars:
- Introduction to home composting: Tuesday 6 May, 12.30-1.30pm
Learn how to start composting or improve your composting skills with our free one-hour online talk with Q&A. This session will be led by volunteer Master Composters. Registration here
- Composting in Action: Thursday 8th May, 12.15-1.15pm
During this free one-hour online talk, we’ll explore some of our Compost Demonstration Sites and find out how they have been benefitting and enhancing communities. Registration here
