Growing Buddies are sprouting up in Haringey!
Garden Organic's Sustainable Communities Team have been commissioned by Homes for Haringey to work with five sheltered housing sites. Our Growing Buddies will run fortnightly sessions to inspire and support residents with their growing.
Project Coordinator Debbie Mitchener will be delivering fortnightly sessions with each site to teach residents the principles of organic growing, composting and small space growing techniques.
This brand new project will train three Growing Buddies for each housing site. In total there will be a network of fifteen volunteers in Haringey transferring knowledge and tips onto their local community.
