Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens nurtures 40 acres of formal garden and local nature reserve that are over 350 years old - which these days are surrounded by the intense industrial landscapes of the city.
The kitchen garden, two heritage orchards and formal beds would be familiar to any time-travelling gardener – but Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens have the extra support of modern organic methods and machinery!
The garden is open to visitors most of the year, for pleasure, creativity and leisure but their mission to share and communicate about nature, history and growing underpins all their activities – especially with the surrounding inner-city communities.
